Signed Lithographs, Fine Art & Gemstones Lead the Way at 888 Auctions’ September 10, 2020 Auction
Richmond Hill, ON – September 10 marks the first auction of the busy autumn season and despite the economic uncertainty, there has been a positive trend in both prices realized and number of items sold through auction. Hoping to capitalize on the lucrative autumn season with quality offerings, 888 Auctions will be hosting a 389-lot auction featuring the best in Fine Lithographs, Fine Art & Gemstones. Live online and phone bidding will be available starting at 2 PM (EST).
Leading the way will be Lot 49, an attributed Banksy British Reflective Sign Spray Paint. Featuring a rat holding a sign reading “you lie” against a NO PARKING sign and signed “BANKSY” in the top left corner, Lot 49 is expected to surpass its high estimate of $2,000.
Another statement piece can be found at Lot 85, an attributed Keith Haring US Mixed Media on Paper. Featuring two figural scenes, signed K. Haring alongside lower right edge and inscribed 87 beside signature with a label affixed to verso inscribed TONY SHAFRAZI GALLERY, Lot 85 features a $2,000 high estimate.

Lot 173: Andy Warhol American Signed Lithograph 113/300 (High Estimate: $2,000)
Lot 192: Marc Chagall French Signed Litho 138/150 (High Estimate: $2,000)
Gemstones continue to be a strong performing category at 888 Auctions and this auction will provide a large variety of gemstones offered to the highest bidder. Two gemstones in particular have been garnering some strong interest from interested parties: Lot 291: 16.50ct Emerald Cut Red Natural Ruby GGL and Lot 300: 8.10ct Cushion Pink Natural Padparadscha Sapphire are expected to surpass its high estimates, both of which have been set at $300.
