Richmond Hill, ON – As the season enters the summer and with discussions revolving around a post Covid-19 economy starting to take place, 888 Auctions continues to provide fresh offerings to its clients. Collectors will be pleased to find 401 fresh-to-market items in the catalog which can be found online at bid.888auctions.com. The cover lot of the auction is Lot 73, a 0.80ct Round Cut Diamond Gemstone. Lot 73 is expected to exceed its high estimate of $2,000.

 

Paintings continue to be a strong performing category at 888 Auctions and several standout pieces are expected to find new owners come May 7. Lot 214, an attributed Paul Gauguin French Oil on Canvas Painting, which features a portrait of a girl. Signed P Gauguin and inscribed 95 underneath the signature on the lower edge with several gallery labels on verso, Lot 214 commands a high estimate of $2,000.

 

Another standout piece expected to find a buyer can be found at Lot 207, an attributed Winston Churchill Watercolor on Paper featuring an understated landscape scene. Signed WSC on the lower left corner, Lot 207 carries a high estimate of $4,000.
