Richmond Hill, ON – 888 Auctions’ December 5th sale of CHINESE PAINTINGS, JADES & ASIAN WORKS OF ART t in Richmond Hill will showcase 548 lots of exciting array of Chinese painting, jades and works of art.

Paintings highlighting the December sale are Lot 69: Chinese Watercolor Signed Fu Bao Shi a Published work with a high estimate of $10,000 and two rare paintings from the estate of Mr. and Mrs Dennis Lee, Toronto, located at Lot 13: Chinese Watercolor Red Flowers Painting Qi Baishi with a high estimate of $5,000 and Lot 14: Chinese Painting of Man and Pine Tree Zhang Daqian, with high estimate of $8,000.  


Other lots for painting collectors’ are located at Lot 66: Long Chinese Bird Painting Signed Jiang Ting Xi commends the high estimate of $5,000, and Lot 109: Chinese Landscape by Huang Bin Hong a published work commands a high estimate of $5,000.
 
Collectors will be pleased to find our listing of premium Jadeite bangles. Our bangles have continued to fetch high prices in each of our auctions with record breaking sales prices. $65,000 was reached in our January auction Lot 158, Chinese Emerald Green Jadeite Bangle attributed to its fine quality and strong emerald green colour and Lot 175 from our August auction an Important Emerald Green Jadeite Bangle which was hammered at $55,000 surpassing its high estimate of $8,000. To sum up this exciting year, 888 auctions has placed its finest quality bangles at Lot 150A: Fine Chinese Emerald Green Jadeite Bangle of emerald green tone with excellent translucency with high estimate of $8,000 and Lot 149A: Translucent Chinese Emerald Green Jadeite Bangle, also with a high estimate of $8,000.

The value of white jade is surging with China’s wealthy gaze upon these precious stones as long-term investments.  Lot 180 from our October auction and Exquisite White Jade Boulder with Identification Certificate was sold for $240,000 CAD. In this year-end auction, 888 will feature the most exceptional pieces of white jade at Lot 210: Monumental Chinese White Jade Boulder with Certificate monumental size nephrite jade boulder with incredible details of pine trees and pagodas resting on wood carved stand, which is expected to fetch over its high estimate of $60,000. Equally important is Lot 226: Impressive Chinese Hetian White Jade Gourd with Certificate with finely carved with gourd and vines with meticulous open work carvings of lively leaves and delicate vines on a custom wood stand has a high estimate of $5,000. Another rare piece of white jade can be found at Lot 278: Exceptional White Jade Scepter with Certificate which is a reticulated ruyi scepter bearing fruitful lingzhi and vines intricately with custom open work wood stand and commands a high estimate of $8,000. Also, Lot 216: Chinese Hetian White Jade Carved Boy & Lingzhi, carved laughing Buddha holding a lingzhi of even white tone with fine polished finish with a high estimate of $4,000.
