Richmond Hill, ON – The last auction of the year December 19, 2019 brings to a close a very successful calendar year for 888 Auctions. Featuring 404 fresh-to-market items with an emphasis on Pop Art, Chinese Paintings and Loose Gemstones. The live auction will be conducted on the gallery floor of 888 Auctions Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 2 PM (EST).

The cover lot for this auction features a very finely executed piece at Lot 176, an attributed Tamara de Lempicka Polish Oil on Canvas painting. Featuring a portrait of a woman and signed LEMPICKA on the lower left corner with a gallery label affixed to verso inscribed BERNER KUNSTMUSEUM, Lot 176 is expected to surpass its high estimate of $5,000.
Chinese art and antiques continue to find renewed interest with the end of the year approaching. In particular, the past few auctions have found bidders competing fiercely over jadeite carved bangles.
