The UPS Store Shipment protection
Shipment protection is offered exclusively through The UPS Store in Canada, on a per package basis. Any item that is packaged by The UPS Store staff is protected against loss and damage, and is not subject to arbitrary decisions by UPS personnel as to the quality of the packaging.
Shipment protection covers the value declared by the customer for loss or damage to the contents of the parcel. The maximum amount of coverage for antiques and artwork is $2500 per package. The maximum amount of coverage for jewellery or watches is $2500 or $500 per package when shipped in Canada/USA. The retail price is $3 for each one hundred dollars of value declared by the customer. The customer may include, at their option, the cost of packing and shipping along with the stated value of the contents for the purpose of determining how much coverage to purchase.
