Salvador Dali
Salvador Dali (Spanish, 1904-1989) is among the most versatile and prolific artists of the 20th century. Notably, the most famous Surrealist. He was chiefly remembered for his painterly output. Throughout the course of his long career, he successfully turned to sculpture, printmaking, fashion, advertising, writing, and most famously, film making. He also collaborated with Luis Buñuel and Alfred Hitchcock in film. Also renowned for his flamboyant personality and role of a mischievous provocateur, Dali was also lauded for his undeniable technical virtuosity.
