Modern Art, Certified Gems & Antiques Abound at 888 Auctions December 17, 2020 Auction
Richmond Hill, ON – Despite the COVID-19 pandemic continuing to grab headlines around the world, 888 Auctions continues to list online live auctions with its last auction of the year slated to begin Thursday, December 17, 2020. With an emphasis on Modern Paintings, Gems & Antiques, the sale offers collectors a chance to bid on 271 fresh-to-market items with the online auction beginning at 2 PM (EST) on Thursday, December 17, 2020.
The star lot of the auction to be featured is Lot 80, an attributed Francis Picabia French Modernist Ink Fabric 1934. Featuring a portrait of two women carrying flat jugs on their heads and signed “Francis Picabia” in the bottom left and bottom right corner., this piece is expected to easily surpass its high estimate of $2,000.
