Modern Art, Signed Memorabilia & Antiques Set to be Featured November 21 at 888 Auctions

Richmond Hill, ON – With the winter season in full swing, 888 Auctions is proud to feature 405 fresh-to-market items with a focus on Modern Art, Signed Memorabilia and Antiques. The live auction will be conducted on the gallery floor of 888 Auctions Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 2 PM (EST).

Modern art heavily features in the auction with the cover lot set to be Lot 107, an attributed Winston Churchill Watercolor on Board Landscape. Featuring a landscape scene with a lone fisherman and signed WSC on the lower right corner, Lot 107 is expected to easily surpass its high estimate of $6,000.

Lot 2: Henry Moret French Modernist Oil on Paper (High Estimate: $2,000)

Lot 9: Raoul Dufy French Fauvist Mixed Media Floral (HIgh Estimate: $2,000)

Lot 66: Leonard Foujita Japanese Mixed Media on Paper Cat (High Estimate: $1,600)

American abstract art continues to be a strong draw at auction and bidders will be pleased to hear the inclusion of several standout pieces. Lot 95, an attributed Cy Twombly American Abstract Oil on Card in particular has been finding interest and features an abstract expressionist composition of red, yellow, blue, and green against white.Signed Cy Twombly and inscribed illegibly alongside bottom edge, this piece carries a $4,000 high estimate.

At Lot 305, an Imperial Burma Green Jadeite Bangle accompanied with GIA Certificate has already been finding considerable interest. Featuring a translucent apple green tone, this bangle is expected to surpass its high estimate of $7,000.
