AY Jackson Group of Seven Oil on Canvas Headlines 888 Auctions’ August 1 Auction
Richmond Hill, ON – 888 Auctions continues to build tremendous momentum in what is typically a slow phase in the auction season featuring 423 fresh-to-market items several standout paintings headlining the sale Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 2 PM (EST).
The star lot of the auction is none other than an A.Y. Jackson Oil on Canvas Landscape Painting featured at Lot 251. This oil on canvas painting featuring a winter landscape scene is signed AY JACKSON on the lower right corner and also inscribed on the stretcher bar a.y. Jackson is expected to exceed its high estimate of $25,000.
A significant impressionist piece in the catalog is Lot 196, an attributed Winston Churchill British Impressionist Watercolor on Paper. Featuring a Mediterranean landscape scene with church bell tower and signed WSC on the lower right corner, this piece is expected to surpass its high estimate of $7,000.
