Richmond Hill, ON – With many businesses emerging from the pandemic and the economic repercussions still reverberating around the world, collectors continue to find a consistent market from which to buy and sell fine art and antiques. It is in this vein that 888 Auctions continues its bimonthly auction and this time with 384 fresh-to-market items available to the highest bidder at its Fine Art, Lithographs and Memorabilia auction with live bidding starting at 2 PM (EST).

 

Fine art continues to be a strong performing category with no shortage of items that are being sold from estates and private collections. The star lot of the auction is one such example from a private collection: Lot 59: Attributed Keith Haring American Pop Signed Lithograph EA 1/XX. Featuring multiple figures, lot 59 is signed K. Haring, inscribed EA 1/xx and ’85 alongside lower right corner carrying a high estimate of $800.

Modern art continues to remain a staple at the auction house with several standout pieces ready to be snatched by the highest bidder. Lot 110, an Alfred Sisley French Mixed Media & Pastel on Paper, has drawn considerable interest of late; featuring a landscape scene with a small stone bridge, this signed Sisley piece from a North Toronto estate is expected to surpass its high estimate of $4,000.
