Fine Art, Gemstones & Ancient Numismatics Set to Impress at 888 Auctions October 24, 2019 Auction 

Richmond Hill, ON – 888 Auctions is proud to feature 415 fresh-to-market items with particular focus and interest on Fine Art, Gemstones and Ancient Numismatics. Live auction will be held at 888 Auctions’ gallery floor at 2 PM (EST).

An impressive array of fine art is expected to garner significant interest online and on the gallery floor. Lot 35, an attributed Diego Rivera Mexican Modernist Oil on Canvas painting has enjoyed the spotlight. Featuring a landscape scene and signed Diego Rivera on the lower left corner and stamped with red wax seal on verso, this attributed piece is expected to surpass its high estimate of $2,000.

Several other modern art pieces have also attracted considerable interest in the lead-up to the auction. Lot 43, an attributed Tamara de Lempicka Polish Art Deco Oil on Canvas painting featuring a portrait of a woman has already enjoyed competitive absentee bidding on all online platforms and is expected to far surpass its high estimate of $6,000. Another piece, which can be found at Lot 154, is an attributed Amedeo Modigilani Italian Fauvist Oil on Canvas painting featuring a portrait of a woman. Signed modigliani on the upper left corner, this piece carries a high estimate of $3,000.
