Highlighting this May sale will be Lot 287: A Yuan/Ming Period Large Dragon Porcelain Jar. This large porcelain jar is of a compressed globular body tapering to the bottom and decorated with striding dragons amidst clouds in relief. The jar commands a high estimate of $24,000.

An auction would not be complete without 888 Auctions’ customary quality paintings and this sale is no exception. The featured lot from the paintings category are three lots that have been garnering significant interest in the past few weeks. Particular to this auction is the inclusion of an eclectic variety of Canadian content:

Lot 30: A.J. Casson Watercolour on Paper 1898-1992 (High Estimate: $10,000)
